This course is designed for teachers, school staff, and educators who want to better understand misophonia and create more supportive, informed learning environments. Participants will learn about the impact misophonia can have on students, classroom functioning, emotional regulation, concentration, and school participation, while gaining practical tools to help support affected students in educational settings.
The course is delivered through accessible text-based learning and a 30 minute video. The course iincludes downloadable resources, including a school training PowerPoint presentation that can be used internally to provide staff education on misophonia awareness and supportive classroom strategies.
Topics include understanding misophonia, classroom and school-related challenges, accommodation considerations, communication approaches, sensory-informed support strategies, and creating psychologically safer and more inclusive learning environments for students affected by sound sensitivities.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion and a PowerPoint presentation for school or staff training use.
