Please note: this quiz is an adaptation of the DMQ and is not official or endorsed by the team at Duke. This is also not a perfect adaptation, and is only for your own personal information. This is not to be used in place of a clinician.

This quiz is based on the Duke Misophonia Questionnaire (DMQ), which is a reliable and valid measure for misophonia. Please note that this measure was NOT CREATED FOR MISOKINESIA specifically, and thus this is an imperfect indicator. This e-quiz is not a replacement for a clinician. You can find a list of clinicians who work with misophonia on our Clinician Directory.

The following is the clinical scale that is used for the DMQ:

  • 0-13 is considered “minimal-mild impairment”
  • 14-38 is considered “moderate impairment”
  • 39-48 is considered “severe to very severe impairment”
